A facade rework for an existing house. Same structure, new shading, and a porch that finally makes sense in the rain.
About this project
Swaraj is a modern residence on a 1,200 sq ft plot with a total built-up area of 3,000 sq ft. The house faces north, which gives it good daylight and lets the air move through the plan properly.
The facade puts exposed brickwork against curved walls, holding raw material against contemporary form. It is a straightforward, climate-responsive house that should still read well in twenty years.
