ABOUT THE STUDIO
One architect, two studios, and a short list of things we refuse to skip.
Kalakaar Design Studios is run by Ar. Anurag Aman from Darbhanga. It is a full-service practice: architectural planning and design, urban and interior design, and project management. Most of our clients are families building once in their lives, so we explain every drawing until it is clear.
Sustainability here is not a certificate on the wall. It is waste, water, energy and indoor air, decided early, written into the drawings, and checked on site.

Where we work
Bihar and pan India. Regular sites in Darbhanga, Patna, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Purnia, Gaya, Jehanabad, Chapra and Ranchi.
Outside these towns we still take the project on, we just plan fewer and longer site visits and put more into the drawings.
How we like to work
Drawings a mason can read
Our sets are dimensioned for the people holding the trowel. Fewer phone calls from site, fewer things broken and redone.
Local before imported
If a material is made within a few hundred kilometres and does the job, it goes in the specification.
